Pacific Mama Surf Club, The Antidote...

Hi, I'm Annie. 43, a mom of a beautiful two year old and I LOVE to surf. Even though I am a total beginner, getting out into the ocean, making my best attempt at staying on my board - leaves me feeling energized, alive and recharges my soul. I'm a better person and a mom for having done it.

Come join us for a Friday morning of surfing(around 9 am), fun and child care swapping as we help each other get out there. It takes a village right?

This is how it works, so far....I have a large fenced play yard and a sun/shade canopy that I will stake in a nice spot somewhere between the Pismo pier and the Edgewater hotel. There are Lifeguards and ammenities (bathrooms/food/showers) there. I will have several different colored flags. Green flag means: Go Surf/Everything O.k.. Red Flag means: Time to come in/your time is up(one hour each person). There will be a color flag assigned to you. This means: If you are a Yellow Flag and you see it on the beach by us, You'd better come in, your child needs you. Or maybe you are a Purple flag, better come on in.  (I'll make a bunch of colors).

You get one hour of surfing, while your child is playing comfortably on our little part of the beach within your sight. When you come in and your time is up, you then give that other person the ability to go out and surf for 1 hour while you watch their child.

You provide your own "everything" for your child. (diapers, wipes, sippy cup, bottle, toys, sunscreen application, whatever they usually need.)

A form that each parent will fill out includes personal info, emergency contact info, name, address. So we can each be safe in knowing that our child is being left with someone trustworthy.

Our group will be small, TBD as per number of surfers and children. This is not daycare, there will not be 10 children per one adult. The group will end around lunchtime. My child has to nap, as do most under 3 years. If your child is sick, please stay home.

Moms and Dads are welcome.

This Friday is July 4th, let's get out into the water!!!

Peace, Love and Water,
Annie.
